WHEREAS, Resolution No. 03-184 was passed by the City Council of the City of
Beaumont on August 26, 2003, to award a contract in the amount of $328,650 for the
Rehabilitation of the Elevated Water Storage Tank at Sabine Pass and Harriot Street
Project; and,
WHEREAS, Change Order No. 1 in the amount of$12,498.25 is required to remove
and replace existing drain line on the elevated storage tank and to paint pumps and piping
accessories that were cited during the TCEQ annual inspection thereby increasing the
contract amount to $341,148.25.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the City Manager be, and he is hereby authorized, to execute Change Order No.
1 in the amount of$12,498.25 to remove and replace existing drain line on the elevated
storage tank and to paint pumps and piping accessories that were cited during the TCEQ
annual inspection thereby increasing the contract amount to $341,148.25.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Beaumont this the 17th day of
August, 2004.
