BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the City Manager is hereby authorized to sign an agreement with the Texas
Engineering Extension Service (TEEX) to initiate a contract to utilize the State Law
Enforcement Terrorism Prevention Program sub-grant in the amount of$75,126. The FY
2004 State Law Enforcement Terrorism Prevention Program (LETPP) provides funds to
support the following prevention activities: information sharing to preempt terrorists attacks;
target hardening to reduce vulnerability of selected high value targets; recognition of
potential ordeveloping threats,interoperable communications;and intervention of terrorists
before they can execute a threat.

2004.
