WHEREAS, by act of the Board of Commissioners of the City of Beaumont on the
23`d day of September, 1941, and in accordance with state law, the Mayor of the City of
Beaumont was authorized and directed to file as necessary certificates with respect to the
appointment of commissioners and to designate the Chairman of the Commissioners of the
Housing Authority of the City of Beaumont in conformity with the Housing Authority Law.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the Mayor, be and she is hereby authorized, empowered and directed, in
accordance with the resolution adopted by the City Commissioners of the City of Beaumont
on the 23rd day of September, 1941, to file the necessary certificates in writing appointing
necessary commissioners and a chairman thereof to serve as a housing authority for the
City of Beaumont, Texas.

2004.
