WHEREAS, bids were received for an annual contract for groundwater monitoring
at the landfill; and,
WHEREAS, SCS Engineers of Bedford, Texas submitted a bid in the amount of
$28,800 annually for all groundwater monitoring, laboratory testing, data analysis, reporting
and record keeping as required by the TCEQ and an additional $3,000 to be incurred at the
outset of the contract for obtaining the license to use the recommended Sanitas reporting
software and for a one-time sampling of surface water to establish baseline levels of
contaminants; and,
WHEREAS, City Council is of the opinion that the bid submitted by SCS Engineers
of Bedford, Texas should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bid submitted by SCS Engineers of Bedford, Texas for an annual contract in the
amount of$28,800 annually for all groundwater monitoring, laboratory testing,data analysis,
reporting and record keeping as required by the TCEQ and an additional $3,000 to be
incurred at the outset of the contract for obtaining the license to use the recommended
Sanitas reporting software and for a one-time sampling of surface water to establish
baseline levels of contaminants be accepted by the City of Beaumont.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Beaumont this the 22nd day of
