WHEREAS,bids were received for an annual contract for the purchase of limestone
base material for use by the Public Works Department, Streets and Drainage Division; and,
WHEREAS, Gulf Coast Limestone, Inc. of Seabrook, Texas submitted a bid in the
unit prices as shown below:
Limestone Base, FOB Plant-7th and Dollinger Street, Beaumont, TX $11.04/ton
Limestone Base, FOB Jobsite $13.00/ton
and,
WHEREAS, City Council is of the opinion that the bid submitted by Gulf Coast
Limestone, Inc. of Seabrook, Texas should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bid submitted by Gulf Coast Limestone, Inc, of Seabrook, Texas for an annual
contract for the purchase of limestone base material for use by the Public Works
Department, Streets and Drainage Division be accepted by the City of Beaumont.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Beaumont this the 22nd day of
June, 2004.
