WHEREAS, the claim of Stephen Thompson has been discussed in an Executive
Session properly called and held Tuesday, April 27, 2004; and,
WHEREAS, the Council desires to authorize the settlement of the claim;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the City Attorney be and he is hereby authorized to settle the claim of Stephen
Thompson in the amount of Twenty-Seven Thousand ($27,000) Dollars payable to
Stephen Thompson and Provost & Umphrey Law Firm.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Beaumont this the 25th day of
May, 2004.
