WHEREAS,the City Council previously enacted a resolution supporting Stone Way
Limited Partnership's efforts to receive the 2004 allocation from the Texas Department of
Housing and Community Affairs fora townhome project proposed to be built at 1650 Lucas
Drive; and,
WHEREAS, the City desires to allocate $42,084 from 2003 HOME funds to Stone
Way Limited Partnership to assist with architectural and engineering costs associated with
the construction of the complex conditioned upon the organization receiving a 2004
allocation of funds from the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs for this
project.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT there is hereby allocated $42,084 from the 2003 HOME fund to be provided to Stone
Way Limited Partnership to assist with architectural and engineering costs associated with
a townhome project. The payment of these funds is strictly conditioned upon the
organization receiving an allocation of 2004 funds from the Texas Department of Housing
and Community Affairs for this project. The City Manager be, and he is hereby authorized
to execute all necessary documents to effectuate the purposes of this resolution.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Beaumont this the 25th day of May,
2004.
