WHEREAS, on August 19, 2003, the City Council of the City of Beaumont, Texas,
passed Resolution No. 03-172 awarding a contract to Allco, Inc., in the amount of
$833,786 for the Barscreen Area and Belt Press Conveyor Improvements Project; and,
WHEREAS, Change Order No. 1 in the amount of$163,626 was approved by City
Council on April 20, 2004; and,
WHEREAS, Change Order No. 2 in the amount of $41,138 is required to install a
total of 40 mils chemical resistant liner in the pit below the barscreen equipment to cover
approximately 3,400 square feet of deteriorated concrete surface area in orderto minimize
additional corrosion:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the City Manager be, and he is hereby authorized, to execute Change Order No. 2
in the amount of$41,138 increasing the contract to $1,038,550.
