WHEREAS, on April 6, 2004, the City Council of the City of Beaumont, Texas,
awarded a contract to L.D. Construction, in the amount of$1,758,869.80 for the 2003
Street Rehabilitation Project; and,
WHEREAS, Change Order No. 1 in the amount of $269,305.80 is required for
reduction of the scope of work due to funding availability thereby decreasing the contract
amount to $1,489,564,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the City Manager be, and he is hereby authorized, to execute Change Order No.
1 to L.D. Construction in the amount of$269,305.80 for changes in the reduction of the
scope of work decreasing the contract amount to $1,489,564.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Beaumont this the 13'day of April,
