WHEREAS, on June 17, 2003, the City Council of the City of Beaumont, Texas,
awarded a contract to PM Construction & Rehab, LP, Pasadena, Texas, in the amount of
$393,575 for the Sanitary Sewer Rehabilitation of Small Diameter Mains Contract IX for
extra work; and,
WHEREAS, Change Order No. 1 in the amount of$97,338 is required to replace
899 linear feet of 10 inch sanitary sewer pipe, 2360 linear feet of 8 inch sanitary sewer
pipe, 1 long side service line connection, 7 short side service line connections, and install
1 end of the line cleanout thereby increasing the contract amount to $490,913.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the City Manager be, and he is hereby authorized, to execute Change Order No.
1 to the Sanitary Sewer Rehabilitation of Small Diameter Mains Contract IX in the amount
of $97,338 to 899 linear feet of 10 inch sanitary sewer pipe, 2360 linear feet of 8 inch
sanitary sewer pipe, 1 long side service line connection, 7 short side service line
connections, and install 1 end of the line cleanout thereby increasing the contract amount
to $490,913.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Beaumont this the 6th day of April,
2004.
