WHEREAS,on February 11, 2003,the City Council of the City of Beaumont,Texas,
awarded a contract to PM Construction & Rehab, LP, Pasadena, Texas, in the amount of
$1,042,000 forthe Sanitary Sewer Rehabilitation of Small Diameter Mains Contract VII for
extra work; and,
WHEREAS, Change Order No. 1 in the amount of$259,444 is required to replace
3057 linear feet of 10 inch sanitary sewer pipe under the street, 77 long side service line
connections, 61 short side service line connections, 435 linear feet of extra length service
lines, 8 manhole frames and covers in the street, 11 manhole frames and covers in the
dirt, and to remove 6 underground obstructions under the pavement thereby increasing
the contract amount to $1,301,444;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the City Manager be, and he is hereby authorized, to execute Change Order No.
1 to the Sanitary Sewer Rehabilitation of Small Diameter Mains Contract VI l in the amount
of$259,444 to replace 3057 linear feet of 10 inch sanitary sewer pipe under the street, 77
long side service line connections, 61 short side service line connections, 435 linear feet
of extra length service lines, 8 manhole frames and covers in the street, 11 manhole
frames and covers in the dirt, and to remove 6 underground obstructions under the
pavement thereby increasing the contract amount to $1,301,444.
