WHEREAS, bids were received for the purchase and installation of approximately
12,000 feet of chain link fencing to be installed along the perimeter of two (2) Water
Utilities Division sites, the Water Reclamation Plant and the newly constructed Loeb
chlorine building; and,
WHEREAS,Texas Correctional Industries, Huntsville,Texas, submitted a bid in the
amount of $112,911.30; and,
WHEREAS, City Council is of the opinion that the bid submitted by Texas
Correctional Industries, Huntsville, Texas, should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bid submitted by Texas Correctional Industries, Huntsville, Texas, in the amount
of$112,911.30 forthe purchase and installation of approximately 12,000 feet of chain link
fencing to be installed along the perimeter of two (2) Water Utilities Division sites, the
Water Reclamation Plant and the newly constructed Loeb chlorine building be accepted
by the City of Beaumont.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Beaumont this the 2nd day of
March, 2004.
