WHEREAS, on November 27, 1995, bids were received for providing a five (5) year
financing agreement for the purchase of one (1) wood waste tub grinder for the Solid
Waste Management Department, Landfill Division; and,
WHEREAS, First Interstate Bank of Texas submitted a bid for a five (5) year
financing agreement in the amount of 41 basis points below the yield of the 7 1/8%
Coupon Treasury Note maturing February 2000; and,
WHEREAS, City Council is of the opinion that the bid submitted by First Interstate
Bank of Texas should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bid submitted by First Interstate Bank of Texas for a five (5) year financing
agreement for the purchase of one (1) wood waste tub grinder for the Solid Waste
Management Department, Landfill Division in the amount of 41 basis points below the yield
of the 7 1/8% Coupon Treasury Notes maturing February 2000 be accepted by the City of
Beaumont and the City Manager is hereby authorized to execute a lease purchase
agreement for the wood waste tub grinder.
