WHEREAS, on March 21, 1995, by City Council authorized the City Manager to
enter into a contract with Excavators and Constructors, Inc. for the construction of the
Liberty/Laurel (Phase II) Project in the amount of$5,541,628.82; and,
WHEREAS, Change Order No. 1 was created to increase the Contract amount to
$5,584,020.42; and,
WHEREAS, Change Order No. 2 is being requested to increase the contract
amount by $19,846.00 to construct surface inlets beyond the edge of pavement on Laurel
between 9th and 10th Streets and on the west side of 1st Street between Liberty and
Laurel to collect storm water run-off from low areas;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the City Manager be and he is hereby authorized to execute Change Order No. 2,
as stated above, with Excavators and Constructors, Inc.
