RESOLUTION NO.
WHEREAS, Gulf States Utilities Company, has requested the City of Beaumont
grant a utility easement out of the James Drake Survey, Abstract 18 on the Magnolia Park
Park property 93.50 feet south of the northwest corner of the park, then in an easterly
direction for a distance of 329 feet, then in a southerly direction 26 feet terminating at the
Magnolia Park Activity Center, for an underground electrical distribution line, as depicted
on Exhibit "A" attached; and,
WHEREAS, it appears that it would be equitable to allow such an easement at this
time;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the City Manager is hereby authorized to grant a utility easement to Gulf States
Utilities Company for an underground electrical distribution line to serve the Magnolia Park
Activity Center, out of the James Drake Survey, Abstract 18 on the Magnolia Park property
93.50 feet south of the northwest corner of the park, then in an easterly direction for a
distance of 329 feet, then in a southerly direction 26 feet terminating at the Magnolia Park
Activity Center, a plat of the property is attached hereto as Exhibit "A".
