WHEREAS, Mustang Engineering, Inc. has requested, on behalf of their
client, Centana Intrastate Pipeline Company, the City grant a five foot wide permanent
pipeline easement and a fifty-five foot wide temporary construction easement, out of
Blocks 22, 26 and 27 of the Heflebower and Scott Subdivision, as described on Exhibit "A"
attached hereto, for the transportation of natural gas; and,
WHEREAS, Centana has offered to pay the City $200.00 per rod (16.5 feet
= a rod) x 87.52 rods for a total of $17,504.00 for the easement and the temporary
construction easement; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council has considered the execution of said pipeline
easement and is of the opinion that said pipeline easement is necessary and desirable and
that same should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the City Manager be and he is hereby authorized to execute pipeline easements as
described above to Centana Intrastate Pipeline Company, for consideration of $17,504.00.
