WHEREAS, on October 23, 1995 bids were received for providing a five (5) year
financing agreement for two (2) mechanical street sweepers for the Public Works
Department; and,
WHEREAS, Commercial Leasing Services submitted a bid for a five (5) year
financing agreement in the amount of 71 basis points below the yield of the 6 3/8%
Coupon Treasury Notes maturing January 2000; and,
WHEREAS, City Council is of the opinion that the bid submitted by Commercial
Leasing Services should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bid submitted by Commercial Leasing Services for a five (5) year financing
agreement for two (2) mechanical street sweepers for the Public Works Department in the
amount of 71 basis points below the yield of the 6 3/8% Coupon Treasury Notes maturing
January 2000 be accepted by the City of Beaumont and the City Manager is hereby
authorized to execute a financing agreement for the sweepers.
