WHEREAS, on July 17, 1995, bids were received for providing a five (5) year
financing agreement for twelve (12) automated refuse trucks for the Solid Waste
Management Department; and,
WHEREAS, Banc One Leasing Corporation submitted a bid for a five (5) year
financing agreement in the amount of 125 basis points below the yield of the 6.75%
Coupon Treasury Notes maturing 1999; and,
WHEREAS, City Council is of the opinion that the bid submitted by Banc One
Leasing Corporation should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bid submitted by Banc One Leasing Corporation for a five (5) year financing
agreement for twelve (12) automated refuse trucks for the Solid Waste Management
Department in the amount of 125 basis points below the yield of the 6.75% Coupon
Treasury Notes maturing June 1999 be accepted by the City of Beaumont and the City
Manager is hereby authorized to execute a lease purchase agreement for the trucks.
