RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, the Jefferson County Council on Alcohol and Drug Abuse
(JCCADA) has cancelled their Acquisition/Rehabilitation Project resulting in the availability
of $375,000 from the 1993/1994 CDBG Budget for reprograming to projects in the 1995
Consolidated Grant Budget; and
WHEREAS, on July 11, 1995, the Community Development Division
presented to the Community Development Advisory Committee proposed amendments
as follows:
1. Small Business Revolving Loan Fund - $225,000
2. Commercial Demolition Program - $100,000
3. YWCA Project - $50,000;
and
WHEREAS, the Community Development Advisory Committee recommended
approval of the proposed amendments;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the City Manager be and he is hereby authorized to reprogram $375,000 from the
1993/1994 CDBG programs to the 1995 HUD Consolidated Grant program as
recommended by the Community Development Advisory Committee and outlined above.
