WHEREAS, bids were received for a six month contract to furnish vehicle lubricants
to the Fleet Management Division; and,
WHEREAS, the bid was originally awarded to Tri-Con, Inc.; and,
WHEREAS, Tri-Con, Inc. will not be able to honor the terms of the contract because
their products are repackaged and are not factory sealed as specified; and,
WHEREAS, the next low bidder, Pumpelly Oil Company, submitted a bid as follows:

15W-40 Engine Oil $3.21 Per gallon
30W Engine Oil $3.09 Per gallon
Automatic Transmission Fluid $1.17 Per quart
Automatic Transmission Fluid $3.30 Per gallon
Automatic Transmission Fluid, Type F $1.19 Per quart
Hydraulic Oil $3.24 Per gallon
WHEREAS, the bid submitted by Pumpelly Oil Company should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bid submitted by Pumpelly Oil Company for furnishing vehicle lubricants to the
Fleet Management Division in the above stated amounts be accepted by the City of
Beaumont.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Beaumont this the day of
