WHEREAS, sealed bids were received for the purchase of fifteen (15) mobile radios,
twenty-five (25) portable radios for the Police Department and five (5) mobile radios with
specified optional equipment for the Auto Theft Task Force; and,
WHEREAS, Neches Communications submitted a bid in the amount of $690 each
for twenty-five (25) Kenwood TK330SPKlB portable radios, $892 each for fifteen (15)
Kenwood TK830HBK-BHSH1 mobile radios and $1,040 each five for (5) Kenwood
TK830HBK-FHSH1 mobile radios; and,
WHEREAS, City Council is of the opinion that the bids submitted by Neches
Communications should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bids submitted by Neches Communications for the purchase of twenty-five (25)
Kenwood TK330SPKlB portable radios, fifteen (15) Kenwood TK830HBK-BHSH1 mobile
radios for the Police Department in the amounts of $690 each and $892 each respectively
and five (5) Kenwood TK830HBK-FHSH1 mobile radios at $1,040 each for the Auto Theft
Task Force be accepted by the City of Beaumont.
