WHEREAS, on January 17, 1995, bids were received for providing lease purchase
agreement for a fire pumper for the City's Fire Department; and,
WHEREAS, First Bank and Trust submitted a bid for a five (5) year lease purchase
agreement in the amount of 155 basis points below the yield of the 5-1/8% Coupon Treasury
notes maturing December 1998; and,
WHEREAS, City Council is of the opinion that the bid submitted by First Bank and
Trust should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bid submitted by First Bank and Trust for a five (5) year lease purchase
agreement for a fire pumper for the City's Fire Department in the amount of 155 basis
points below the yield of the 5-1/8% Coupon Treasury notes maturing December 1998 be
accepted by the City of Beaumont and the City Manager is hereby authorized to execute a
lease purchase agreement for the fire pumper.
