RESOLUTION NO. -f
WHEREAS, Entex has filed a request to increase natural gas rates in Beaumont to
become effective October 7, 1994; and,
WHEREAS, the Texas Gas Utility Regulatory Act provides that the City may
suspend the effective date for up to 90 days to allow an analysis of the need for such rate
increase; and,
WHEREAS, the City of Beaumont desires to suspend such effective date for 90 days
and enter into a hearing to consider the proposed rate change;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the proposed rate increase of Entex be and the same is hereby suspended for 90 days
from and after its effective date and a public hearing is hereby set for Tuesday, December
20, 1994 to consider the proposed rate change. The City Clerk is hereby directed to serve
a copy of this resolution on Entex by mail addressed to Jimmy R.Thomas, District Manager,
P.O. Box 3867, Beaumont, Texas 77704-3867.
