WHEREAS, on May 5, 1994, City Council awarded a contract to Crain Brothers, Inc.
for the construction of a 900 acre Artificial Wetland Wastewater Treatment System in the
amount of $8,861,162.00; and,
WHEREAS, Change Order No. 1 reduced the amount of the original contract by
$39,829.22; and,
WHEREAS, Change Order No. 2 and Final is to increase the Contract amount by
$54,159.28 to adjust actual quantities installed, add and delete items of work necessary to
complete the project and to amend the contract period to account for bad weather;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the City Manager be and he is hereby authorized to execute Change Order No. 2,
as stated above, with Crain Brothers, Inc. The project as stated above be and the same is
herein accepted and the City Manager be and he is hereby authorized to make final
payment in the amount of $31,341.00.
