WHEREAS, on February 8, 1994, City Council awarded a Contract to Affolter
Contracting, Inc.for Remediation and Drainage Improvements for the Fire Training Center
in the amount of $980,681.70; and,
WHEREAS, Change Order No. 1 changed the scope of the project, but did not
increase the total cost nor the time of the Contract; and,
WHEREAS, Change Order No. 2 is being requested to increase the contract amount
by $20,892.90 for replacing 310.6 tons of stabilized sand at $16.00 per ton for a credit of
$4,969.60) with 206.9 cubic yards of concrete at $125.00 per cubic yard (at a cost of
$25,862.50) increasing the contract amount to $1,001,574.60; and,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the City Manager be and he is hereby authorized to execute Change Order No. 2 as
stated above with Affolter Contracting, Inc.
