WHEREAS, the City of Beaumont shall confirm the County of Jefferson as the
sponsor for the application under the rules of the Texas Department of Transportation
(TxDOT). The request is for TxDOT to renovate the historic Jefferson County Courthouse
and the construction and landscaping of the public parking areas of the newly construction
Beaumont Postal Facility and County Annex;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the City hereby endorses the nomination by Jefferson County for their Downtown
Redevelopment Project.
The City recommends this project for "enhancement funding" by the Texas
Department of Transportation.
