WHEREAS, on November 12, 1991, the City Council awarded a contract to Naztec,
Inc. for the purchase of a computer signal system for downtown Beaumont at a cost of
$418,850.00; and,
WHEREAS, the contract with Naztec, Inc. provided that the City could purchase
additional items as needed; and,
WHEREAS,the Transportation Division has requested the purchase of the following
items:

Traffic Controllers 12 $ 2,250.00 $ 27,000.00
Controller Cabinets 1 $ 2,800.00 $ 2,800.00
Conflict Monitors 12 $ 650.00 $ 7,800.00
TOTAL $ 371 600.00
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the purchase of additional equipment for a computer signal system for downtown
Beaumont for the Transportation Division at the above stated prices should be accepted by
the City of Beaumont.
