WHEREAS, 0.539 acres of land out of Block 22 and 23 of the J. B. Langham, Sr.
Homestead Tract is an uneconomic remnant and thus can be sold to the adjacent property
owner; and,
WHEREAS, the Estate of B. P. Crittenden, Jr., Deceased, the adjacent property
owner has offered to pay $13,852.52 to the City for such property;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the City Manager be and he is hereby authorized to execute a deed to the Estate of
B. P. Crittenden, Jr., Deceased, conveying 0.539 acres of land out of Blocks 22 and 23 of the
J. B. Langham, Sr. Homestead Tract for $13,852.52. A copy of the plat is attached as
Exhibit "A".
