WHEREAS, on April 26, 1994 in Resolution No. 94-98 City Council awarded a bid
to D B S Electronics in the amount of $13,477 for twenty (20) mobile radios for the Police
Department; and,
WHEREAS, D B S Electronics withdrew their bid after the order was placed due to
an unexpected manufacturer's price increase; and,
WHEREAS, the second low bidder, Neches Communications, submitted a bid in the
amount of $832.00 each for sixteen (16) mobile radios; and,
WHEREAS, City Council is of the opinion that the bid submitted by Neches
Communications should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bid submitted by Neches Communications for sixteen (16) mobile radios for the
Police Department in the amount of $832.00 each be accepted by the City of Beaumont.
