BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the City Manager be and he is hereby authorized to submit an application for grant
assistance under the Urban Parks and Recreation Recovery Program in the amount of
$198,000.00 for the renovation of three (3) playgrounds on Liberia, Carroll Street, and Pine
Street Parks.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Manager be and he is hereby authorized to
act as the official representative of the City and to certify that local matching funds in the
amount of$24,750.00 will be available for a period of two years beginning from the date of
receipt of said grant for purposes of guaranteeing the local "In-Kind" component of the
grant.
