WHEREAS, on February 28, 1994, bids were received for an annual contract to
furnish street sweeping services; and,
WHEREAS, BFI Waste Systems submitted a bid in the amounts stated below:
CBD Streets $ 19.43/curb mile
Arterial Streets $ 36.04/curb mile
Scheduled Sweeping $ 90.00/hour
Unscheduled Sweeping $109.00/hour
and,
WHEREAS, City Council is of the opinion that the bid submitted by BFI Waste
Systems is the lowest and best bid meeting specifications and should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bid submitted by BFI Waste Systems for an annual contract to furnish street
sweeping services in the amounts stated above be accepted by the City of Beaumont.
