WHEREAS, bids were received for furnishing a concession management service
contract for the Civic Center Complex; and,
WHEREAS, Swanson Corporation submitted a bid in the following amounts; and,
Percentage of Net Sales to be paid to the City:
Vending Services 50%
Beer/Liquor 25%
Catering 12%
3rd Party/Novelties 50%
Concessions 25%
Capital Investment of$50,000 for a Five (5) year contract
Capital Investment of$80,000 for an Eight (8) year contract
WHEREAS, City Council is of the opinion that the bid submitted by Swanson
Corporation in the above stated amounts is the best bid meeting specifications and should
be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bid submitted by Swanson Corporation for a concession management service
contract for the Civic Center Complex in the above stated amounts be accepted by the City
of Beaumont.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Manager be and he is hereby authorized to
execute a concession contract with Swanson Corporation.
