BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the City Manager is hereby authorized to execute an inter-local agreement with
Jefferson County for IH-10 Frontage Road Access Study. The agreement is attached
hereto as Exhibit "A" and made a part hereof for all purposes.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Beaumont this the 10th day of
February, 2004.

INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT
This Interlocal Agreement ("the Agreement") is entered into between the City of
Beaumont, a municipal corporation of Jefferson County, Texas, (herein "Beaumont") and
Jefferson County (herein "Jefferson County"), both entities authorized to enter into
interlocal agreements in accordance with Section 791.001 et seq.of the Government Code
of the State of Texas (Vernon 1996).
WITNESSETH :
WHEREAS, Jefferson County has done an IH-10 Frontage Road Access Study to
determine the frequency and location of access from adjoining properties to the new
frontage roads along Interstate 10 East and West within the city limits of the City of
Beaumont; and
WHEREAS, the City desires to participate in the cost of such study in the amount
of Seven Thousand Nine Hundred Fifty Dollars ($7,950),the source of funds being funds
allocated for the acquisition of land for the Major Drive Project;
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY AGREED AS FOLLOWS:
I.
Jefferson Countywill be responsible to have the study performed concerning access
to the frontage roads on Interstate 10 North and South within the city limits of the City of
Beaumont.

II.
The City of Beaumont will participate in the funding of this project in the maximum
amount of Seven Thousand Nine Hundred Fifty Dollars ($7,950).

IV.
This Agreement may be amended by the mutual agreement of the parties hereto
in writing and any amendment shall be attached to and incorporated into this Agreement.
V.
This Agreement supercedes any and all other agreements, either oral or in writing,
between the parties hereto with respect to the subject matter of this Agreement and no
other agreement, statement or promise relating to the subject matter of this Agreement
which is not contained herein shall be valid or binding.
