WHEREAS, on Monday, September 27, 1993,bids were received for furnishing
an annual contract for the purchase of sand cement used in repairing driveways and
excavating and laying culverts; and,
WHEREAS, bids were submitted in the following amounts:

DESCRIPTION APAC-Texas, Inc. Contractors Concrete
Beaumont, TX Beaumont, Texas Beaumont, TX
1 sack sand cement $ 8.97/ton $ 9.05/ton $ 9.60/ton
1-1/2 sack sand cement $ 10.20/ton $ 10.55/ton $ 10.90/ton
2 sack sand cement $ 11.40/ton $ 12.05/ton $ 12.40/ton
2525 Dollinger IH-10 @ Bairds
Location of Plantsite Bayou Langham Road
and,
WHEREAS, City Council is of the opinion that the bid submitted by APAC-
Texas, Inc., is the best bid meeting specifications and should be accepted; and,
WHEREAS, City Council is of the opinion that the bid submitted by Bo-Mac
Contractors meet specifications and is acceptable as an alternate vendor;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bid submitted by APAC-Texas, Inc. in the above amounts for an annual contract
for the purchase of sand cement be accepted by the City of Beaumont.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the bid submitted by Bo-Mac Contractors, Inc. in the
above amounts for an annual contract for the purchase of sand cement be accepted by the
City of Beaumont as an alternate in the event material is unavailable from APAC-Texas, Inc.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Beaumont this theme day
of 1993.
