RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, the City Manager has proposed a budget which will require the adoption of an
ordinance setting a tax rate of$0.62 per one hundred dollars valuation which is more than 3% above
current rates; and,
WHEREAS, a public hearing is required prior to the adoption of an ordinance setting such
tax rate;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT a public hearing is hereby called and scheduled to be held at the regular meeting of City
Council at 1:30 p.m. August 31, 1993 in the City Council Chambers, City Hall, Beaumont, Texas for
the purpose of hearing public comment concerning the proposal to adopt a tax rate for the City of
Beaumont of$0.62 per one hundred dollars valuation.
