RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, on Monday, July 19, 1993 two bids were received for an annual contract
to provide wrecker services for towing of inoperable City vehicles and the Police
Department's seized vehicles; and,
WHEREAS, Smarts White GMC Truck & Trailer Equipment submitted a bid in the
following amounts:
Smart's White GMC
Truck & Trailer Equip.,
SECTION I - Fleet Towing Beaumont, TX
Appx. 400 Towing - Light duty $ 16.75
Appx. 70 Towing - Heavy duty $ 40.00
Jump Start - Light duty $ 5.00
Jump Start - Heavy duty $ 15.00
Pull Out - Light duty $ 16.75
Pull Out - Heavy duty $ 40.00
Work Time - 1/10th hour $ 4.00
SECTION H - Police Towing Smart's White GMC
Appx. 15 Towing - Light duty $ 20.00
Appx. 5 Towing - Heavy duty $ 45.00
WHEREAS, City Council is of the opinion that the bid submitted by Smart's White
GMC Truck & Trailer Equipment is the best bid meeting specifications and should be
accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bid submitted by Smart's White GMC Truck & Trailer for an annual contract to
provide wrecker services for towing of inoperable City vehicles and the Police Department's
seized vehicles in the amounts stated above be accepted by the City of Beaumont. ,
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Beaumont this the ,-;n day
