WHEREAS, bids were received on April 5, 1993 for an annual contract for the
purchase of slag base material for the Solid Waste/Landfill,Streets and Drainage, Parks and
Recreation, and the Water and Sewer Divisions; and,
WHEREAS,International Mill Service,Inc.submitted a bid for slag base to be picked
up from plantsite at the following prices per ton:
SIZE: -�I 24/2". 8" I 0" 1-1/2 X 3" .

PRICE PER TON $ 6.00/ton $ 9.00 1ton $ 8.00/ton
and,
WHEREAS,Ted Schreck Trucking submitted a bid for furnishing slag base material
delivered to jobsites at the following prices per ton:
SIZE: ( 2-1/2" X 8" 11=0. 1-1/2" , 1-1/2" X 3"
PRICE PER TON $ 9.20/ton $ 12.20/ton $ 11.20/ton
and,
WHEREAS, City Council is of the opinion that the bids submitted by International
Mill Service, Inc. and Ted Schreck Trucking are the lowest and best bids meeting
specifications and should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:

THAT the bid submitted by International Mill Service, Inc. for the purchase of slag base to
be picked up from plantsite at the above prices per ton and the bid submitted by Ted
Schreck Truck for furnishing slag base material delivered to jobsites at the above prices per
ton be accepted by the City of Beaumont.
