WHEREAS, on Tuesday, April 27, 1993,by City Council Resolution No.R 93-98, the
City Manager executed a contract with Bellard's Drapery & Carpet, Inc. for carpet and vinyl
tile installation at the Best Year's Center in the amount of $15,999.00; and,
WHEREAS, Change Order No. 1 has been created to increase the Contract amount
to $18,344.00. This change order is needed to allow Bellard's Drapery & Carpet, Inc. to
remove and dispose of asbestos floor tile found in the Northeast Hallway in accordance with
all governing codes and regulations:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized to execute Change Order No. 1,
as stated above, with Bellard's Drapery & Carpet, Inc.
