RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, on Monday, June 7, 1993, sealed bids were received for folding chairs
and chair racks for Convention Facilities, Civic Center Complex; and,
WHEREAS, Virco Mfg. Corporation submitted a bid at $46.75 each for 1,500 chairs;
$295.00 each for fifteen (15) chair racks; and $240.00 per set of four (4) starter blocks,
totaling $74,790.00; and,
WHEREAS, City Council is of the opinion that the bid submitted by Virco Mfg
Corporation is the lowest and the best bid meeting specifications and should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bid submitted by Virco Mfg. Corporation for folding chairs and chair racks for
Convention Facilities, Civic Center Complex at the amounts of$46.75 each for 1,500 chairs;
$295.00 each for fifteen (15) chair racks; and $240.00 per set of four (4) starter blocks,
totaling $74,790.00 be accepted by the City of Beaumont.
