WHEREAS, bids were received for the purchase of a landfill compactor for
use at the City landfill; and,
WHEREAS, Mustang Tractor & Equipment, Beaumont, Texas, submitted a
bid in the amount of $276,941.00 for the purchase of a Caterpillar Model 826C Compactor
equipped with Caron 40" wheels; and,
WHEREAS, City Council is of the opinion that the bid submitted by Mustang
Tractor & Equipment, Beaumont, Texas, is the best bid meeting specifications and should
be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bid submitted by Mustang Tractor & Equipment, Beaumont, Texas, for the
purchase of a Caterpillar Model 826C Compactor equipped with Caron 40" wheels in the
amount of $276,941.00, be accepted by the City of Beaumont.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Beaumont this the
day of 1993.
