RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, bids were received for the purchase of approximately two
hundred (200) tons of caustic soda; and,
WHEREAS,bid specifications stated that the bid will be awarded to one
(1) vendor for one (1) chemical only; and,
WHEREAS, Jones Chemical, Inc. submitted a bid in the amount of
$210.00 per ton for caustic soda; and,
WHEREAS, City Council is of the opinion that the bid submitted by
Jones Chemicals, Inc. is the best bid meeting specifications and should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bid submitted by Jones Chemicals, Inc. for the purchase of approximately
two hundred (200) tons of caustic soda in the amount of$210.00 per ton, be accepted
by the City of Beaumont.
