WHEREAS, bids were received for the Beaumont Fire Department for
the purchase of air masks with carrying cases and air cylinders; and,
WHEREAS, Mine Safety Appliances Company submitted a bid in the
amount of $1,965.25 for air masks with carrying cases; $1,910.00 for air masks
without carrying cases; and $218.00 for unused hydrostatically tested air cylinders
that have been inventoried for three (3) years or less; and,
WHEREAS, City Council is of the opinion that the bid submitted by
Mine Safety Appliances Company is the best bid meeting specifications and should
be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bid submitted by Mine Safety Appliances Company for the Beaumont
Fire Department for the purchase of air masks with carrying cases and air cylinders
based upon the unit costs of $1,965.25 for air masks with carrying cases; $1,910.00
for air masks without carrying cases; and $218.00 for unused hydrostatically tested
air cylinders that have been inventoried for three (3) years or less, be accepted by
the City of Beaumont.
