RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, bids were received for laboratory testing of storm water
samples collected in accordance with provisions of the EPA-mandated National
Pollutant Discharge Elimination System; and,
WHEREAS, Chemtex of Port Arthur submitted a base bid in the
amount of $23,180.00 plus $6,500.00 for supplemental services for a total contract
amount of $29,680.00; and,
WHEREAS, City Council is of the opinion that the bid submitted by
Chemtex is the best bid meeting specifications and should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bid submitted by Chemtex for laboratory services in the amount of
$29,680.00 be accepted by the City of Beaumont and the City Manager be and he
is hereby authorized to execute a contract for such services.
