WHEREAS, bids were received for an annual contract to purchase approximately
180,000 pounds or 16,500 gallons of sodium bisulfate for wastewater treatment at the City's
Water Reclamation Plant; and,
WHEREAS, Van Waters & Rogers, of Beaumont submitted a bid in the amount
of $1.0175 per gallon; and,
WHEREAS, City Council is of the opinion that the bid submitted by Van Waters
& Rogers is the best bid meeting specifications and should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bid submitted by Van Waters & Rogers of Beaumont in the amount of $1.0175 per
gallon for an annual contract to purchase approximately 180,000 pounds or 16,500 gallons of
sodium bisulfite for wastewater treatment at the City's Water Reclamation Plant, be accepted by
the City of Beaumont.
