WHEREAS, on May 5, 1992, the City Council of the City of Beaumont awarded a
contract in the amount of $564,876.33 to APAC-TEXAS, Inc. for the reconstruction of East
Caldwood Street; and,
WHEREAS, Change Order No. 1 was issued July 9, 1992 in the amount of $500.00 to
provide all labor, equipment and supervision for additional barricading to reroute traffic, no
Council action was required; and,
WHEREAS, Change Order No. 2 has been created to add 7479 square yards of block
sod at $3.50 per square yard for a total of$26,239.50 and adjust estimated quantities to reflect
actual quantities used in the amount of $23,294.57;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the City Manager be, and he is hereby authorized to execute Change Order No. 2,
increasing the contract amount by $23,294.57 to APAC-TEXAS, Inc., and that in accordance
with the terms of the contract, final payment in the amount of $226,254.23 be paid to APAC-
TEXAS, Inc.
