WHEREAS, property described as Lots 3 and 4, Block 28 of the North Addition to the
City of Beaumont, vacant land located at 2537 and 2577 Pine Street, presently has twenty (20)
mowing charges totaling $3,218.96 due to the City of Beaumont in the form of weed liens.
These liens were incurred during the period from August 1972 until December 1990; and,
WHEREAS, Williams Memorial Church of God in Christ accepted the donation of the
property on November, 1990; and,
WHEREAS, Williams Memorial Church would like to relocate their church, presently
located at 180 E. Plum Street, to the donated property on Pine Street; and,
WHEREAS, Williams Memorial Church is agreeable to paying the actual costs of
mowing the lots on Pine Street in order to clear the title and permit construction of the new
church on the property; and,
WHEREAS, the actual costs for mowing the lots is $387.66 plus a 5% administrative
fee of $19.38 for a grand total of $407.04;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized to accept the Williams Memorial
Church's offer of $407.04 in settlement of all weed lien charges on the above described
property and release the existing weed liens against the property.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Beaumont this the --� day
