WHEREAS, bids were received for furnishing an annual contract for the purchase
of cement stabilized sand for use by the Street and Drainage Division; and,
WHEREAS, based on the estimated annual totals using the mileage equalization
factor, Cowboy Concrete Corporation of Beaumont submitted a bid for cement stabilized sand
at the following prices:
1 sack $ 8.40/ton
1 1/2 sack $ 9.90/ton
2 sack $11.40/ton
WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that the bid submitted by Cowboy
Concrete Corporation is the best bid meeting specifications and should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bid submitted by Cowboy Concrete Corporation of Beaumont for an annual contract
for the purchase of cement stabilized sand for use by the Street and Drainage Division in the
amounts stated above, be accepted by the City of Beaumont.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that APAC-Texas, Inc. of Beaumont be awarded the alternate
contract to be used only when material is unavailable from Cowboy Concrete for cement
stabilized sand at the following prices:
1 sack $ 8.65/ton
1 1/2 sack $ 9.80/ton
2 sack $10.94/ton

Dear Ms. Beadle:
Please be advised by this letter that Cowboy Concrete has been
purchased by Trinity Industries who is the parent company of
Transit Mix Concrete & Materials. We hereby agree to honor the
above mentioned contract with Cowboy Concrete for the term of the
contract. We will be invoicing you through Transit Mix Concrete &
Materials.
