WHEREAS, on April 14, 1992, the City Council of the City of Beaumont awarded a
contract in the amount of $8,920,589.50 to Russ Miller Construction Company, Inc. for the
Cartwright Drainage Project; and,
WHEREAS, during the public involvement process, citizens in the area of Bolivar Street
from Avenue A to Avenue B requested that Bolivar Street also be constructed to a curb and
gutter section. This section is approximately four hundred and sixty three feet (463') long and
will make Bolivar Street a curb and gutter section from Neches Street to Avenue C; and,
WHEREAS, Change Order No. 2 has been created which will increase the contract
amount by $58,954.68;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the City Manager be, and he is hereby authorized to execute Change Order No. 2,
increasing the contract amount by $58,954.68 to Russ Miller Construction Company, Inc., for
the Cartwright Drainage Project.
