WHEREAS, the City Council has discussed the facts of the lawsuit styled Neilan and
Marva Jacobs vs. The City of Beaumont in an Executive Session properly called and held; and
WHEREAS, the Council desires to authorize settlement of the lawsuit;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the City Attorney be, and he is hereby, authorized to settle the lawsuit styled Neilan and
Marva Jacobs vs. The City of Beaumont as follows: Sixteen Thousand and no/100 dollars
($16,000.00) for Marva Jacobs and Four Thousand and no/100 dollars ($4,000.00) for Neilan
Jacobs.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Beaumont on this the
