WHEREAS, bids were received for the purchase of sixty (60) mobile and
portable radios for the Police Department; and,
WHEREAS, G S Industries, Inc. of Pasadena, Texas submitted a bid in the
amount of $44,430.00 for the purchase of thirty (30) Kenwood portable radios at a cost of
$677.00 each and thirty (30) Kenwood mobile radios at a cost of $804.00 each; and,
WHEREAS, City Council is of the opinion that the bid submitted by G S
Industries, Inc. of Pasadena, Texas is the best bid meeting specifications and should be
accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
THAT the bid submitted by G S Industries, Inc. of Pasadena, Texas in the amount of
$44,430.00 for the purchase of thirty (30) Kenwood portable radios at a cost of $677.00 each
and thirty (30) Kenwood mobile radios at a cost of $804.00 each for use by the Police
Department, be accepted by the City of Beaumont.
